Android’s Smart Text Selection Tool can now perform unit conversions. If you select a fraction, it will automatically select the full size, number and unit, and a button submission will pop up to change it. This leads to results in the Google app, where you can select the unit you want to change. However, this feature does not currently appear to be available to all users.
According to a Report By Android Police, unit conversion feature Of Android The Smart Text Selection Tool is faster than the process of manually copying a paste to convert it to another application. The report adds that the feature works in units such as length, volume and currency. Users must select the units for which they want to change the text. This will redirect them to the results in the Google app. Users must still select the units to be replaced, this new feature saves time and works faster.
The Smart Text Selection Tool allows users to pass content between applications without having to copy the paste manually. It works for phone numbers, addresses and other content.
Although it is unclear when this feature will be released, it seems to be a recent addition to the smart text selection tool. It may have been in the test for a while, as the report states that a user rediscovered it in July.
